The First Blog
New to blogging but not new to world of tabletop gaming
Since my childhood, I've always enjoyed sitting down and playing board games. From an early age, my favorites included Sorry, Crokinole and Chinese Checkers. Since then I've discovered the wonderfully diverse realm of tabletop gaming and the plethora of games that fall into it. My goal of this blog is to share them with you.
After high school, some friends of mine who never played board games came across one that we all loved, Settlers of Catan. I can remember they had a premium wooden version of the game that we would play almost every weekend. It was my first time playing a game that my friends were actually happy to sit down and play with me.
My love of Catan came with me when I moved to Saint John, New Brunswick where I quickly discovered Impossible Realities, a small convention catered specifically to tabletop gaming. Today I am still close friends with many of the people I met at this convention including the owners of a local comic and tabletop gaming store, Heroes Beacon. It was at Heroes Beacon that I continued my journey into tabletop gaming.
Although Settlers of Catan is no longer a front-runner on my game shelf there are probably 100 games or more that are. With my combination of photography skills and passion for gaming, I plan to provide both advanced and novice gamers alike with captivating images and informative reviews.
